Purpose
ආරෝග්යා පරමා ලාභා, සන්තුට්ඨී පරමං ධනං
විස්සාසා පරමා ඤාතී, නිබ්බානං පරමං සුඛං
Health is the ultimate gain; contentment is the ultimate wealth;
A trusted friend is the ultimate kinsman; and Nibbana is the ultimate happiness.

The purpose of life is to find peace, freedom and liberation. Our institutions need to support this purpose for each individual. The aim is not to have these at the expense of others, but to give these to others at your expense.
In anything we do, in facing any challenge or in any task we undertake, we must ask and answer the questions what and why. These will yield us the purpose and meaning in that situation. Our task becomes clear. The result is efficiency and effectiveness.
